Campaign Story

Philadelphia 2 children’s home is under Highfields church of Nazareth, which is under the leadership of Rev and Mrs Mutatu. The children’s home was birthed after a well-wisher who was impressed by the impact on children’s livelihoods by Philadelphia 1 Children’s Home that was run by Rev Mutatu, and his wife in Highfields. Rev Mutatu was offered 10 acres of land, and a house, which they decided to run as a children’s home to expand the work they had started of taking care of the vulnerable children  to compliment the efforts by the Ministry of Social Welfare to offer shelter to the vulnerable children. The Institution was established in 2006 but officially registered with the Ministry of Social Welfare in 2013.
Currently the institution has a maximum capacity of 20 children who are housed at the institution.
